SAMSARA

Samsara stands for the circle of creation and demise and the perpetual cycle of being.

On the elementary, material level, the human body, is a composition of tiny particles. Not only physically, but also in every activity, the human being is an element of dynamics. A common feature of humanity is that they are sentient beings who have conscious experiences. Humans pursue the goal of finding mental balance in order to peacefully come into unity with the inner self and the outer world.

The entire matter existing in the cosmos, is subjected to an endless recycling cycle. According to this, the universe is a perpetually running, infinitely large, self-sustaining, functioning system.

Iron wire is the chosen medium for drawing three-dimensionally in space. Lengthy and prepared process stages in sand casting or raku firing lend the forms a visual appearance of a flow or process solidified.

SAMSARA DRAWINGS

"I create a frame for myself and within this frame I can be free. I take a pen in each hand and then blindly start drawing. In the process, I observe my feelings without identifying with them. I feel myself, the person with whom my thoughts speak. I am the observer of the voice in my head. I concentrate very much on the moment and translate my feeling into the movement on the paper." (Vanessa Ohlhausen)

In the drawings „Samsara“ the feelings of the present are captured. The drawing transforms the inexpressible and is the visible part that remains.
